This handbook outlines the minimum standards all vendors must follow for returns, refunds, and shipping. By adhering to these standards, you help ensure every customer enjoys a smooth and satisfying shopping experience.
1. Vendor Return and Refund Requirements and Standards
At Ahịa, we value transparency and customer satisfaction. As a vendor on this platform, you are required to provide a clear and easy-to-find refund or return policy for all goods and services offered. This policy must be visible to customers either on your store page or at the time of purchase.
Your policy must include specific details about returns and any exceptions that apply. You are also required to comply with Ahịa’s minimum marketplace return standards outlined below:
Ahịa Minimum Return Standards
- Return Timeframe:
You must specify a return window for all returnable products and services. Ahịa’s minimum acceptable return period is 14 days from the date the customer receives the item(s). - Condition of Returned Items:
You must clearly state the acceptable condition for returned items. At minimum, all non-perishable items must be eligible for return within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unopened, unused, and in their original packaging. - Return Requests:
All return requests must be initiated through the Ahịa platform. We will notify you as soon as a customer submits a return request. - Refunds:
Once you receive the returned item(s) in good condition, you must issue the applicable refund to the customer’s original payment method within 7–10 business days. - Defective or Damaged Items:
You are responsible for the cost of returning defective, damaged, or expired items, as well as any associated credit card or chargeback fees. Please ensure that all shipments are securely packaged and that no expired items are sent to customers.
2. Vendor Shipping Requirements and Standards
Timely and secure shipping is essential to a positive customer experience. All vendors are required to follow these shipping standards.
Ahịa Minimum Shipping Standards
- Shipping Responsibility: You are responsible for shipping products directly to customers. Ahịa recommends that orders be processed promptly after purchase and that shipping methods and delivery times be clearly communicated to customers.
- Shipping Methods: Ahịa have incorporated an automated and comprehensive shipping solution that displays real-time rates from major carriers (like USPS, FedEx, or UPS) at checkout based on your order details and shipping address. You may choose to use the carrier calculated rates or your preferred shipping option. You must disclose your choice clearly to customers either at the store or product level.
- Delivery Timeframes You must provide accurate estimated delivery times for all products. Ahịa recommends that orders be processed within 1–3 business days from the date you received the order.
- Order Tracking: If tracking is available, you must provide customers with tracking information once the order ships. If needed, you may ship items from one order in separate packages.
- Packaging and Quality: You are responsible for ensuring that items are securely packaged to prevent damage during shipping. Perishable items must be handled with care to maintain quality. Non-perishable items should arrive in good condition, free of damage and defects.
- Shipping Issues If a shipment is delayed, lost, or damaged, you must work with both Ahịa support and the customer to resolve the issue promptly. You are responsible for the cost of replacing defective, damaged, or lost items.
Ahịa may update its marketplace return and shipping standards as the platform evolves. You will be notified in advance of any significant changes to ensure continued compliance.
